The West Seattle Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for our September Monthly Luncheon in Jack Block Park. Meet Commissioner Peter Steinbrueck and learn about:
  • Critical infrastructure investments such as the Terminal 5 Modernization Project
  • The safe restart of the cruise industry and its significant economic benefits to the region.
  • Sea-Tac Airport's incredible passenger growth, exciting new capital projects underway, and plans to sustainably meet future air travel demands.
  • Economic Development projects that support small business.

About Commissioner Steinbrueck:

Peter Steinbrueck is an architect, small business owner, urban sustainability strategist, and community planner and leader.

Peter's top priorities at the Port are economic development and family-wage jobs, climate protection and the environment, and racial justice and equity. Serving as a Port of Seattle Commissioner since 2018, Peter's major accomplishments include establishing the $10 million South King County Community Fund to address environmentally impacted airport-area communities and to provide more economic resources and opportunities to historically underserved people in South King County.

As Commission President, in 2020 Peter successfully led the Port through the worst human and financial crisis in nearly a century, the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the Port's Equitable Economic Recovery Strategy, Peter's focus is on protecting family-wage jobs, supporting youth internships, training and pipelines to employment for underserved youth, and increasing opportunities for women and minority-owned disadvantaged businesses through procurement and contracting.

As co-chair of the Port's Energy and Sustainability Committee, Peter's top priorities are climate resiliency, transitioning all the Port's facilities and vehicles to clean energies, habitat restoration, and tree stewardship.

See you there!
